Problems with Password Generator

Hi,

I'm using v. 4.1.2 and decided to use the password generator to change several of my passwords. I encountered some problems:

• The autocompleted "Confirm password" was rejected as not matching the "New password" field (including the signup page for this discussion group).
• My login information was not updated in 1PW4M, causing me to be locked out of the changed account.

Please let me know if you have a fix or a workaround.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the password generator right now.

The autocompleted "Confirm password" was rejected as not matching the "New password" field (including the signup page for this discussion group).

Because of the infinite variety in web design, some sites are designed in such a way that makes it difficult for 1Password to see where the new password is to be filled in. In cases like this, it's best to manually paste the new password into the appropriate fields. If there are any pages that refuse to cooperate, please feel free to pass along the URLs and we'll do some testing on our end.

Did 1Password prompt you to save or update the Login after you changed your password? If not, it is important that you manually update your existing Login to reflect the changed password. Luckily, this is an easy thing to do: pressing the 'Fill' button on the password generator will by default copy the password onto your clipboard. So once the change has been made, simply open the main app, find the entry and paste this new password over the existing one. Don't worry, the existing one will be moved into your 'previously used passwords' section of the entry, so you'll still have it if the change didn't go through on the website for any reason.
