Cannot open 1password file from dropbox

I just installed 1password for mac on a new macbook and I cannot open the 1password file from my dropbox folder even though it sees it there at the root of my dropbox folders. I've done this a few times before and it always worked. Is there something new with version 4? Do I have to convert the file or something? Hope I don't have to remove dropbox and reinstall with different folder location. I used the default location for dropbox.
Please help. I don't want to start all over again and lose years of logins and passwords.

I can't believe no one has experienced this issue before? Anyway, I found the answer myself so thanks for nothing. JK... Here's what you need to do if it ever happens to you. I know I am an edge case user because I use Mac and Windows so I have 1password client installed on both platforms which is tricky.
I just had to run the windows client which was still working and select open 1password folder and see which folder I was using on dropbox. Then I went to the mac client and opened that exact 1password folder and it worked. Turns out I had another 1password file sitting in the root of my dropbox which wasn't the right thing to use. Ugh.
