Can't select text in password generator, and 'copy' button doesn't work

Why can't I select the password generated in the password generator as text so I can right-click -> copy? The 'Copy' button works inconsistently and seemingly only with certain apps (not working at all with IntelliJ and WebStorm). It's very annoying, and could be fixed just by allowing text selection in that text box.
