Won't Autofill Birth Date

I'm running 1Password 4.2.2, and it won't autofill the Birth Date field for the following URL: https://www.macys.com/account/profile

Thanks for reporting this issue with Birth date filling on that Macy's page. It does work correctly in the beta version of the 1Password extension (currently 4.2.0.BETA-14. If you'd like to give that a try, open the 1Password Extension page with the browser you want the extension installed in, then select Enable betas before clicking the big green Install button:

In Chrome, make sure it's the only extension enabled on the chrome://extensions page. It is still a beta so you might notice a few unpolished bits. :)

Any issues specific to the 1Password 4 beta application and/or its extensions can be reported in the Mac Beta subforum. Your feedback is appreciated!

I'm using Safari and did what you said. Now it puts December for the month, 19 for the day, and nothing for the year. My birthday in 1Password is November 7. ??

You can also install the beta extension for Safari to get the fix for Birth date filling on the Macy's page. I mentioned Chrome just in case you were using that browser and am sorry if the image for it was confusing. If you open the 1Password Extension in Safari it'll look like this (minus the annotations):

Thanks for the followup. I've now verified there is still something amiss with Identity item filling on that page even with the beta extension. What format is the birth date field in your item using? This fills the Day and Year correctly, but omits the Month:

My format in 1Password is the same as the one you show: mmm dd,yyyy. For example, Nov 7, 1970. However, in my case, on the website it fills it as December for month, 19 for day, and doesn't change the year field at all. (I would paste exactly what it looks like on the Macy's website, but I don't know how to paste it like you did in your response).

That's interesting. I duplicated an Identity item, changed its birth date field to 11/07/1970, and it filled Birth date correctly on the Macy's page. But other birth date values produce varied results, like you've reported.

Regardless of your results with this I do have enough information to write up a bug report for it. Plus I've got one case where filling fails entirely on that page. Thanks for all your help!

You're not going to believe this but I think I found a commonality regarding the birth date not filling properly. Any birth date newer than 1/31/1970 fills correctly. Any birth date prior to 2/1/1970 does not fill correctly.

It does appear the date cutoff does trigger part of this problem. Another seems to be that 01 (January) as the month doesn't fill correctly.

Thanks for helping to troubleshoot this and add more fuel to the bug report. :)
