iCloud data not syncing

I just switched from Dropbox sync to iCloud, for convenience. Now my data is not syncing...if I make a change on one computer it does not show up on the other. I am not sure where to start troubleshooting (I did try reseting my iCloud data). I am using MAS version 4.1.2 on mavericks. I only have one iCloud account so the data should be the same. Since I rely heavily on 1Password for my logins and data it is critical to get this working again. Thank you very much and a quick response would be great.

    Hi @tinkerer33,

I'm sorry you've been having trouble with syncing your 1Password data after switching from Dropbox to iCloud syncing. Is any change you make on either Macs not appearing on the other one? Have you restarted either or both Macs since this problem started?

You mentioned resetting your iCloud data didn't help but please give this a try:

    • On each Mac, first run File > Backup and click Backup Now in the main 1Password application, then disable iCloud syncing with the Delete data from iCloud option enabled:

    • Restart that Mac.

    • On one Mac at a time, reenable iCloud syncing and wait about 20 minutes to ensure it runs the initial sync.

Then do some testing to make sure your data is being syncing properly between each Mac.

If you're still seeing trouble, please do let us know and we'll investigate further!

I tried the steps you recommended but still not showing changes made between mac computers. I created an new login on primary computer and it never shows up on the other...and some data is different within already existing records. What else can I do to troubleshoot this?

Here's a troubleshooting 1password diagnostic report if it might help.

[Moderator: Deleted the report. Please do not post Diagnostics Reports in the forums.]

    Hi @tinkerer33,

Thanks for the followup. I'm sorry that resetting iCloud syncing didn't fix the problem. At this point we'd like to work with you directly in email to troubleshoot and resolve it.

I've deleted the Diagnostics Report you posted here. Instead, please send us a Diagnostics Report from both of your Macs, along with a link to this topic, to support+forum@agilebits.com. A brief comment here mentioning that you've sent those reports would also be helpful. Thanks in advance!

    Hi sjk,

Thanks so much for the help, it really does matter a lot to me and most people I think. I ran all three of the diagnostics in the troubleshooting utility on both my macs and they started syncing using iCloud sync. Ya! Thanks again. 1Password makes it so much easier to manage my passwords.

    Cheers!

    Hi @tinkerer33‌,

I'm glad to hear that threatening your computers with Diagnostic Reports kickstarted iCloud into gear ... if you do run into any further snags though, we'd be happy to help! :)

    Hi @tinkerer33,

Sorry, I've edited my response. I'm glad that the mere act of running the Reports seems to have gotten things working, but if you do see troubles again, sending those Reports in to our team can help us track down the trouble. :)

    You're welcome, @tinkerer33, on @Megan's behalf.

You did run all three of these tools in 1Password Troubleshooting utility?

I'm not sure which, if any, would have influence on iCloud but it's good something did that fixed it. :)
