Problems filling in "Kansas" using Identities
Hi,
In version 4.4.1, it looks like an old autofill bug has reoccurred. When I try to autofill a form using my identity entry, the state seems to be frequently being entered as "Arkansas" when it should be "Kansas". This used to happen in version 3.8, but then it was fixed.
My guess is that you might be using a string search to find the first occurrence of "kansas" within the list, which comes back as "found" when parsing the "arkansas" string in a list of state entries.
Could you take a look and see if you can correct this? It's not a show stopper, but I don't always notice it until I submit a form, so it's kind of a pain in general use.
You can see an example of the problem on Williams Sonoma catalog request page at
I've had it occur at several web sites now.
Thanks,
Tom Walters

Hi Tom ( @gmapper ),
Thanks for taking the time to bring this to our attention! I really appreciate you including a test site in your original post, it makes it so much easier to reproduce the behaviour. I've passed this information along to our developers and we'll do the best we can to get this resolved for you (and all our other users in Kansas!) soon.

Hi,
It's been quite a while and this bug is still easily reproducible. The link listed above still enters Arkansas instead of Kansas, and it is also a problem on many other websites.
Any chance of fixing it before too long? I'm sure Arkansas is great, but I'd rather not have to move there to get my copies of 1Password to work right.
Thanks,

Hi @gmapper,
I'm sorry this hasn't been fixed yet! I don't have a timeframe for when this bug will be squashed, but I can tell you that our developers have been working on some big changes & improvements to the way the 1Password extension fills web forms in general, and that may solve the problem you reported. I wish I had a better answer for you about that, but I promise we haven't forgotten about that! In the meantime, thank you so much for your patience, we appreciate it. :)
