Possible Minor Security Flaw? - 1Password still unlocked after Mac restarted following OS X update
I just installed the latest Mac OSX update (10.9.3). I'd been using 1Password, so left it open when authorizing the restart for installing the update. Then went to bed. This morning, when I logged in, and the the windows from the previous session began to load, 1Password appeared in the unlocked mode! No big problem, but it might be that something in Apple's restart routine overrides what would otherwise be an automatic vault closure.

Hi @RK97202,
Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention! Can you re-create this issue? (If you restart your computer again with 1Password open, is it locked or open upon restart?) I'd also love it if you could let me know what your lock settings are like.
Thanks for your help in tracking this issue down.

I don't think I can recreate the issue, since I believe it has something to do with the interaction between Apple's system update and the restart (for instance, though I normally don't enable the reopen windows after restart option, the previously open windows all reappeared after this installation restart). In any case, a simple restart doesn't produce the result I encountered. But my lock settings might be partly to blame, too, since I didn't have the "Lock when main window is closed" option checked. All the other lock options were selected (and the after idle was set for 5 minutes, the clear clipboard for 90 seconds).

Hi @RK97202
I'm glad to hear that 1Password is properly locked up after a normal restart. I've just done a system update and restart on my system here, and I'm not able to re-create the issue here either.
Please do keep an eye on 1Password the next time you do a system update - restarting your computer terminates the 1Password process, so it should be locked when your computer boots up again. If you're seeing something different, do let us know!
