Syncing -Dropbox sync issues [moved to email]
I would like to sync 1Password (v4) from my main desktop to my iPad & laptop. I use Dropbox, the agilekeychain is in dropbox. But my ipad will not load 1Password.html - shows the message box advising that the 'key data file' could not be loaded.
I'm not even sure that this mode of syncing will give me what I want. What I need on both ipad & Mac laptop is access to my data even when I'm not online. (NB all linked by wifi network)
We have a family licence for 1Password. So I could download another version of 1Password onto my laptop, but surely I shouldn't need to.
My main problem is that everything I'm reading isn't matching what I'm seeing. EG, a lot of people are told to go to settings. I don't have settings, I have preferences, but it doesn't deal with syncing. I have a sync menu option on the left sidebar - it tells me dropbox is installed & running but doesn't let me do anything, like select a device.
I'd appreciate your help for 1) syncing with the ipad & 2) the laptop.

First of all, on your first Mac, please enable Dropbox syncing: https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-4-for-mac/4/en/topic/sync-with-dropbox
Next, download and install 1Password on your second Mac. You will also need Dropbox installed on that Mac. When you open 1Password for the first time, it should find your data in Dropbox automatically, but if it doesn't please see alternate instructions here: https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-4-for-mac/4/en/topic/getting-started-again-on-a-new-different-computer
Once you've got syncing setup between your two Macs, please install 1Password for iOS on your iPad.
