Dealing here with the Mac problem, please try deleting the 1P5 app by dragging it to the trash (don't use any app cleaner tool), emptying the trash, re-booting then re-downloading and re-installing. This has worked for others who have had a very similar problem.

Hi @Robert Tyler Smith To assist we're going to need more information, as much as possible to assist. What I would suggest though is posting a separate thread in the iOS section as the issues are quite separate. Also, more care has to be taken with the iOS devices given the number of additional restrictions. A perfect example is your mac issue was resolved by deleting the damaged copy and downloading a fresh copy with no risk to your vault. That isn't possible with iOS as deleting an app will result in all data associated with that app being deleted too.

I have a MacBook Air (mid 2011) running OS X 10.10. I tried installing the latest update, crashes, as above. I rebooted, same thing happens. I deleted the app, and would reinstall the app, as you suggest, but: do I really have to pay to do so? I have a family license. I couldn't find anyplace where the app could be downloaded without payment. Thx.

If you bought the app from the AgileBits store you can re-download from this link. Don't worry, you won't have to pay again. You can always retrieve your licence from here. Note the family licence no longer exists. That page to which I've just linked includes the following:
Licenses can be shared by up to six family members living in the same household.
You'll still be able to retrieve your licence, though—even though it won't appear now as a "family licence".
