1Password Not Filling In User Id And/Or Passwords
It appears other users are having the same problems as I - 1 Password isn't filling in user id and/or passwords for certain sites. I am having the same issue on a Windows 8.1 PRO PC in addition to my MacBook Air. 1Password on my iPad and iPhones are working w/o any of these issues. 1Password was working correctly 2 updates ago. However, after applying the update before last, things started to go downhill from there with 1 Password.
I am using 1Password 5.0.2 under Yosemite 10.10 on the MacBook Air and 1Password 4.1.0.526 on the Windows 8.1 Pro PC.
The one big site that I visit every day is Chase.Com. 1Password would fill in the user id and password w/o issues and then display the Chase main screen with all my account information. That doesn't happen any more. Now, nothing gets filled in. If I enter garbage info into the user id and password fields, I get an error screen from Chase indicating that the user id and password are incorrect. Then, if I right click, select the 1Password from the splash screen presented and select the correct Chase login account, 1Password will fill in the correct user id and password and submit the info to display my Chase account info.
In addition to Chase.com, I am having the same issues with other sites. But not all sites will be filled in correctly (like the Chase site) after I use the garbage user id and password routine. Some of the other sites I'm having problems with are pandora.com, americanexpress.com, bankofamerica.com, silicondust.com/forum2/ucp.php?mode=login. The majority of my 1Password logins don't work. Most of the ones that do work require that I have to right click, select the 1Password from the splash screen presented, then select the login from the top of the 1Password splash screen presented. Then the user id and password are filled in and the URL screen is presented. This gets a little tiresome to continually have to do this. I never had these issues before - 1 Password would just work.
I have been in contact with 1Password support about this. My last email sent hasn't been responded to. One of their responses was "... Chase.com works for us...". In other words, I (the user) am doing something incorrectly.
Any suggestions from other users who might have had this problem and resolved it?
Thanks.
PS - this started happening on Mavericks OS X before I upgraded to Yosemite.

Hi @dog_man,
I'm so sorry to hear that you're having trouble with 1Password.
I took a look in our email system for any messages from the email address attached to your forum account, and I was able to locate your conversation with our support team. I sincerely apologize that you've been waiting a while for a response there - our team has experienced a surge in support requests since the launch of 1Password 5 on iOS and Mac and we're doing our best to get back to our usual snappy responses. We'll reply to your email just as soon as possible.
But I'd be happy to do what I can to help you here! I understand that you've likely been through this process before, but it can often be helpful to Save a New Login Manually. Often a website can make small changes to its forms that are invisible to the users, but can cause 1Password to act up a little bit. Saving a new Login manually allows 1Password to re-learn the fields that it needs to fill, and it often solves filling issues such as the ones you've reported above.
I've just created a new Login following those steps, and the newly created Login does fill as expected.
If a new Login doesn't work, could you let me know which browser you are using? This might help us narrow down the issue.

This is really strange - sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I also tried the manual save with my Citi credit card acct. I enter my user id and password, select the 1Password icon, select Settings, select Save New Login, but I don't get the next splash screen to enter in the login name to be saved for the website in 1Password. I am using Chrome as my browser.

PS - this is happening on my MacBook Air and my Windows 8.1 Pro PC. The URL is https://www.citi.com/credit-cards/creditcards/CitiHome.do
- I am using Chrome on both computers.

I just tested and was able to manually save a login at that site. Are you sure you're using the latest version of 1Password and the browser extension?
I did notice that I had to edit & correct the username after a manual save, as Citi changes some of the characters to asterisks.

I had a phone call/screen session with Andrew from AgileBits. We worked thru some issues. Chase.com appears to be working now. I switched browsers from Chrome to Safari on the MBA. 1Password is now back to its working ways! Thanks AgileBits for your assistance!
