Having recommended 1Password to a chum he downloaded for Mac direct from your site, set up a long password and then told me he could not retype the password to open 1password as there was not enough space! Is there a max length for the master password on input and therfore can he uninstall 1Password, restart OS X, reinstall 1Password and start again? He has not entered any data so no data to recover. Thank you for your help.

    Hi @rogertb,

Thanks for recommending 1Password to your friend - we really appreciate the support!

Is there a max length for the master password on input

There is no limit on how long a Master Password can be. The Master Password field in the main app won't expand as you keep typing though, so I can see how he might have thought there was no more room. Before he starts over, please have him try to type in his full Master Password and see if it works! :)

can he uninstall 1Password, restart OS X, reinstall 1Password and start again?

If necessary, you can start fresh with 1Password by following these steps: Starting Over

I hope this helps, but we're here if you, or your chum, have any further questions or concerns!
