1Password5 is thrwoing errors when setup for Folder Sync
Hi ,
I've setup folder sync to sync 2 Macs over a shared folder on my NAS.
However, I'm getting constant reminders (popups) from 1Password, saying (translation from German): '1Password Sync - Problem detected - Update Settings' then I have the option to ignore or repair.
Ignore does the obvious but repair just points me to the 1Password settings.
Question: Is sync using a folder on a NAS supported? Can I point my 2 1Password installs to this folder?

There is a good article on folder sync here in the manual. It includes the following warning:
Folder Sync should only be configured with a folder on a local or removable drive (e.g. external hard drive or USB flash drive). Configuring it with a network volume (e.g. Time Capsule or other NAS) may cause problems if the device goes offline.
Does that help understanding what might be happening in your case?

Hi @1pajens,
As @Stephen_C points out, using a NAS for folder sync isn't recommended. It usually only gives problems when the device becomes unavailable to the app though. We should be logging an error along with this so that we can have an idea of what happened. To get this for us:
- Launch Console.app from /Applications/Utilities
- Make sure that All Messages is selected in the left side bar
- Search for "agilebits" in the top right search field, which will filter all results to only show those for AgileBits.
- Notice that every log message has a timestamp on the left indicating when the log happened. Find the time area where this popup came up and there should be a log message that mentions something about Sync Problem or Disabling Sync.
Copy/paste that message here (assuming it doesn't contain any sensitive information), and we'll have a better idea why Sync decided it wasn't safe to proceed.
