passwords

Good morning. Does 1 password read already saved logins over from each site? Most of my logins are auto and some are old, not sure if I can remember the logins.

What browser are you using (and, while we're about it, what version of 1Password)? I use Firefox and there's an option to save logins and passwords. Safari, I believe, saves things like that to the OS X keychain.

One thing you could try doing is to run the Keychain Access.app and look to see what logins and passwords Safari has saved in the OS X keychain for you. @MrC‌ is our import wizard on these forums and he has written a number of import utilities—including one which imports data from the OS X keychain into 1Password I believe.

I suspect he'll be along to add to this thread and will be able to help you much more than I can.

    Hi @Dickens,

The conversion utility that @Stephen_C has mentioned is here:

    https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/30286/mrcs-convert-to-1password-utility/p1

You can see your password entries saved by OS X under the Logins section of the Keychain Access utility. Look through a couple of those to see if find what you're looking for. If they are there, the converter can help you convert them into a formate that 1Password can import. If you need help, feel free to follow-up in the thread above.

PS. I just start reading A Tale of Two Cities (in case your profile name is paying homage to Charles).
