I must do a clean install of Yosemite on my Mac. How do I keep my data?

The first thing to do is to make a 1P backup. For the purposes of this reply I'm assuming you're using 1P4 or 1P5. If you're not, please post again telling us your 1P version number.

Go to 1P > Preferences > Backup and click on Backup Now. Once you've done that take a look at these knowledge base articles:

How do I find my backups?

Where does 1Password store its data?

You can then move, or backup, the relevant files and find them again when you need to restore them.

    Hi @bruceburdick,

The suggestions from Plato and Stephen_C are both excellent. I just wanted to add that even if you backup your Mac with Time Machine, you should still make a backup of your 1Password data before doing a clean install, as Stephen_C explained. You can never have too many backups! ;)

If you need more help with that, just let us know.
