Compatibility between different 1P versions on different devices running with different MacOS
Hello,
I am using 1P v3.8 on a Mac OS 10.6.8, a Mac 10.8.5, a Mac 10.9.5 plus 1P v5 for iOS. Sync through Dropbox. All fine so far.
Question: if I upgrade my Mac OS 10.9.5 to Yosemite, and my 1P to v5, will I still be able to use older versions of 1P on my Macs with older version of MacOS ?
(License v3 obtained from agile bits: upgrade to v5 free or not ? )
Thanks for clarifying this issue

Hi @dompa,
Thanks for taking the time to write to us

Yes, if you upgrade to OS X Yosemite first, then launch 1Password 4 for Mac you will be able to use the automatic or manual updates in Preferences > Updates. You'll be prompted to update to 1Password 5. The entire migration process should happen right after you launch 1Password 5 for Mac for the first time. Simply check Preferences > Sync to make sure that Dropbox sync is still active.

1Password 5 for Mac requires a license file (not code). It will work with a 1Password 4 license but not a 1Password 3 license code. If you wish to upgrade your 1Password 3 license to 1Password 4/5, simply enter your license code here and you will be prompted with various upgrade options.
Hope that this helps.
Cheers!
