Hi MrC,
thank you for your reply. Is it really impossible to assign categories to my imported data entries? Not manualy after import?
It would be very helpful for me. Just I put my data entries in folders. But it is not so good as to assign it to categories.Regards

HI @bhh
@MrC is probably better equipped to answer this question given his knowledge of other services but I'll have a go.
Our categories are fixed and with very few exceptions you can't move an item between them. For other forms of organisation we have folders and tags.
The reason why you can't move between the fixed categories is that each has hardcoded fields specific to that type and certain ones, like Login are for filling in website pages. Custom categories is a wishlist item for some of our customers but currently it is still a wishlist item.
If that didn't help hopefully MrC will come back with an insightful reply

Hi @bhh,
Once assigned categories in 1Password, as @littlebobbytables has stated, the categories are fixed. So that would leave assigning different categories during conversion.
On the conversion side, how might the converter know into which categories you wanted to direct what are all essentially Login entries that each contain the same basic common fields (username, password, url)? Is there something that can reliably trigger that entry X should go to Login, while entry Y should go to Secure Notes?
It is possible to customize the converter, but there has to be some unique aspect about your Keepass records that drive reliable detection of your desired destination categories.

Hi @MrC,
Hi @littlebobbytables,Many thanks for your comments. In the meantime I organized my data entries in folders and with tags. Perhaps will be realized custom categories in near future.
Best regards and best wishes for the New Year
