iCloud sync question

I got 1password on my iPhone and it asked me if I wanted to sync to the cloud. I have been through so much tediousness trying to figure this out. Even though I am a longtime customer and it seems like I'm getting the shaft, I just wanted to make sure. I have the current Yosemite on my macbook and the current iOS on my iPhone. I have 1password5 on my iPhone. Since I purchased my app from the website and I am eligible to do the upgrade to 1password5, is it correct that I still will not be able to sync to the cloud? That hardly seems fair to loyal customers.

    Hi @nsane4twain,

I'm sorry for the confusion about this! Due to the way the new iCloud sync works, we are no longer able to include it in our web store version of 1Password 5 for Mac. If you haven't already done so, please take a look at this thread from the top of the Mac forums for a full explanation.

We also have some information about this in our Web store and iCloud FAQ.

If you want to use iCloud sync, you'll need to purchase the Mac App Store version of 1Password 5 (or if you purchased a previous version from the Mac App Store, it's a free upgrade). Alternately, you can switch to Dropbox or Wi-Fi sync:

Again, I apologize for the confusion about this! If you get the Mac App Store version of 1Password 5 for Mac and need help to get iCloud sync working, or if you need help setting up Dropbox or Wi-Fi sync, please let us know.
