put it where and how?
we have a family license .the program works on all machines but on the laptop there is a trial expired message and I can not add to the password lists
How and where can I inform the program that I have a license for the laptop?
I can put new info on iPad and it gets to the laptop that way but I would like to skip the iPad step.

You can ask for your licence to be re-sent to you. Go to this page, give the email address you used when you bought 1P and the licence will be emailed to you. You can presumably pick up that email on the laptop and apply the licence.
The alternative is to transfer the licence file from one Mac to the laptop (email, USB stick, etc.)—although I'm unclear from your post whether "all machines" includes another Mac on which you have the licence.
