New User - 1Password won't accept Master Password when setting up account (Trial version)

Hi,
I created a sentence, no spaces, for a master password, reentered okay. Then when I tried to set up the account it says the master password is wrong. I can't see how I typed and confirmed and then got it wrong moments later when I tried to create a vault. Can't seem to start again either.

On the assumption you're using either 1P4 or 1P5 please see this knowledge base article on how to start over. Please make sure you follow the steps exactly and be aware you will lose any data you have in 1P when you do it.

Did you by any chance use any non-ASCII characters in your master password? That has been a problem in the past and I'm not sure if it's yet sorted. You might try typing your master password in Notepad in plain text so you can see it's right and then copy and paste it into 1P.

    Hi @GWCTas,

If you haven't entered any data in 1Password yet, it might be easiest to start over and reset 1Password, as explained in Stephen's link. Otherwise, in addition to the other tips from Stephen, there are a few more tips in this article which might be helpful if your master password is not being accepted.

Please let us know how it goes and if you need more help with that. Thanks!
