Password for 1P app is different on all my devices
I have the 1P app on my iMac, iPhone and iPad. Can I easily sync the password to get into the app so they're all the same? I can't figure out how to change the password.

Hi @graphicus44,
At the moment, there are some issues we're tracking where if you change the master password, it doesn't sync automatically to other apps.
Can you first tell me if you're already syncing your data between all 1Password apps? If yes, is it with iCloud, Dropbox, or Wi-Fi?

Yes, I am syncing data between all 1P apps. All my passwords are correct and accessible on all my devices, it's just the password for 1P that I'm having an issue with.
I'm using DropBox to sync them.0 -
Hi @graphicus44,
We forgot to ask what version of 1Password you are running on your various devices.
The most current versions are 1Password 5.1 for Mac and 1Password 5.2 for iOS. Assuming you are running these and that everything is synced across all of your devices as you said they are then here's what I would suggest.
On both of your iOS devices you will find an option in 1Password in Settings > Advanced and the option is titled Erase Data and Settings. That will wipe 1Password for iOS and return it to a state where it is as if you haven't run it before.
With both iOS devices in a clean state, if you move to your iMac and open 1Password. Enter 1Password's preferences and switch to the Backup tab. Click on the Backup Now button just because I like safety nets. Now if you want to change your Master Password this is the time to do so and you can find that option in the Security tab of 1Password's preferences (titled Change Master Password). Let Dropbox complete it's sync of these changes.
Now when you start up 1Password on your iOS devices you will say you're an existing user and point 1Password to your Dropbox account. It should ask you for the new Master Password and with the bug fixes we've made recently any future changes to your Master Password should by synchronised.
Just to be accurate, we don't synchronise your Master Password but we do synchronise a file that your new Master Password has been used to encrypt.
Now if anything goes wrong and you can't access your vault after the Master Password change that backup you made still uses the old Master Password. That's what the safety net is for. Should anything go wrong? no it shouldn't but hey, why run any risk at all when a backup takes seconds to do. Let us know how you get along and if you have any questions prior to any of this please do ask before starting.
