Download from Agile will not allow ICloud sync

I downloaded 1password5 from Agile to my Mac and have now discovered that I can't sync to my IOS with Icloud. I will now have to buy from app store on Mac. I'm frustrated. Is there a way to avoid the charge from Agile at the end of 30 days? Why didn't Agile mention this in their data?

    Hi @jeancville,

We do have state on our store page that for iCloud support you require the MAS version (see below)

Now that isn't it say it can't always be improved but that's on the page before you add to basket.

Now if you're on the 30 day trial we don't charge you at the end, it's still very much up to you to purchase a licence (or not) and if you want to remove our Agile Web Store (AWS) version and purchase the Apple Mac App Store (MAS) version that's perfectly fine too. The MAS version would pick up your existing vault and continue from that point.

If you've purchased a 1Password licence from us and you're still within a 30 day window from that purchase then you can request a refund and purchase the MAS version if you so wish. The point of no return (so to speak) is if you purchased a 1Password (AWS) licence more than 30 days ago. Even then though there is still the option of syncing with iOS devices using either Wi-Fi or Dropbox sync, both of which are actually more versatile than iCloud.

If you have any questions regarding any of that information please do ask

    Hi littlebobbytables

Thank you so much. I was successful in downloading and paying for the Mac app version and the conversion worked well. So I think I understand that because I was in the 30-day trial period (the first day!) of the agile download and since I deleted from my computer I will not have to pay for that at the end of 30 days.

I do appreciate your prompt and favorable response. I really like 1passport and feel like I'm going to continue to like it.

    Again, thanks.

    Jean

    Hi @jeancville,

You're quite correct, we definitely won't charge you at the end of the 30 days. All that would have happened is the trial would have ended, and you wouldn't have been able to edit the vault any more. You would have continued access to view (we would never do anything so awful as to lock you out of your passwords) and at that point you could decide to purchase it either directly from us or from the Mac App Store as you've done. I can confirm we have no payment details of yours and no way to charge you unless you complete the purchase form on our web site.

I hope 1Password (MAS) serves you well and if you have any questions you know where we are
