Will the 2-step feature, available now for 1Password v.5.1 for Windows, and 5.1 for iOS, be coming to MAC anytime soon?

AgileBits has said it intends to bring it to the Mac version but never gives a time frame for the introduction of new features.

    REALLY can't wait!

1Password solves 90% of normal login issues, but they occupy only 10% of my login time; the other 90% of time is spent with two-step delays.

Am I right in thinking that there used to be a feature where, if a second (randomly sought set of pw details were sought, e.g. "characters 4 and 5, and numbers 3 and 6", these could be retrieved from tables of correct data)?

I seem to recall that I made one of these i 1PW for a login, and it worked OK, but just that one.

    Hi @sloth,

    We love you too!

Unfortunately, 1Password has never been able to handle filling random characters of your password into those picky little fields. We do, however, have a feature request open for just such a feature. I'm happy to add a vote to the issue in our internal tracker for you. In the meantime, some users have found that storing the password in the notes field, with a few spaces to make it easier to read (or including numbers below for simple counting) makes life a bit less complicated.

There are cases where 1Password might be able to fill in these fields, if the website always asks for the same character of your password (for example, "provide the third and ninth characters of your password." In this case, you could try Saving a New Login Manually with those characters filled in. The trouble comes in when the requested character differs each time you log in.

I hope this helps to explain things, but if you have any further questions or concerns, we're here for you! :)

    Hi Megan

+1 for "filling random characters of your password into those picky little fields".

And +1 for adding the two step feature to 1Password for Mac, please.

    Thanks :)
