OS X Keychain, should I remove data in there that's also in 1Password?

Hi @safety1,
It does not lessen the security of 1Password but some of your data can be at risk if you have it in two separate locations and forget to lock both locations at the same time. It is easier to maintain a single copy of your data in one app than to maintain two separate apps.
If you want to use 1Password as the sole password manager, we do suggest that you delete the related data in your OS X keychain but you don't need to delete the whole keychain as you'll need it for some of your apps to log you in automatically.

Could you give me an example of what your talking about? One you may delete and one you may keep in OS X key chain.

Hi @safety1,
For an example, my email client store the credentials of my mail accounts in the keychain. That allows the email client to receive emails and send emails without having to prompt me for the credentials each single time.
Basically, I delete any site related accounts in my OS X keychain but leave the app-related apps alone, such as my mail client, twitter apps, and so on.
If 1Password in the future support app-filling, I would then remove them from OS X keychain completely.
Unfortunately, some of your apps may require your OS X keychain as a mandated place to store some keys that are needed in order to authenticate the apps for future sessions. If you try to delete the whole keychain, you may be forced to re-authenticate again to put the key back in there.
