Macs & devices have different login/passwords
I recently changed my 1password login on my "main" Mac (3 Macs and 4 devices). I would assume that this would be universal on all my Macs and devices once I sync. However, I find I still key in the "old" passwords depending on which device or Mac I'm using. How can I make it consistent so I just have to remember one login key for all?

Simplest way is just to change the passwords on the devices where you have the old password.

At this time, @danco is correct - the quickest way to get this sorted is to manually update the passwords on your other devices. The issue of Master Password changes not syncing is something that our developers are working to improve and we'll do what we can to have this behaving better for you all in the future.

Hi Danco and Megan. Thank you for getting back to me with your suggestions. I can do that if it's only the individual main logins that I have to change. However, 1password also gives me a message that my "main" system launched an incorrect version of the 1Password mini. I've attached a screenshot of the message. How can I tell which is which? And where is the errant version? I also see 2 copies of the agilekeychain in my dropbox folder. one says "1Password.agilekeychain" and the other "1Password copy.agilekeychain"

When it comes to the application you can store it wherever you want really but the default location is to keep applications in your
/Application/folder.As you're being told at the moment, you have two.
/Applications/1Password 5.app~/Applications/1Password 5.app
Now that tilda, ~, is quite significant. If you look in your user folder you will find an Applications folder and in there another copy of the 1Password 5 application. If you move that one to Trash that will sort the error out.
If you have two .agilekeychains in your Dropbox then the safest option is just to check on your machines and devices as to which .agilekeychain it is definitely using. It would seem reasonable to assume they're syncing with the 1Password.agilekeychain but this is not an area where you want to make a mistake by assuming.
If you need help in verifying all the machines and devices are using a single .agilekeychain let us know. If you do confirm they're all using one you are also free to remove the other one so it doesn't confuse matters at any point in the future.
