Cannot sync 1Password 5 Primary vault with Dropbox

1Password 5 (AgileBits version) has run well on my iMac, MacBook#1, and iPhone and syncs using Dropbox. I'm adding MacBook#2, and have installed Dropbox (folder contains keychain), and then downloaded/installed 1Password 5. The existing computers use the default "Primary" vault. The only way I can get the MacBook#2 installation to work is to create a new vault. How can I sync to its "Primary" vault ?

    Hi @SaltyDog,

    When you open 1Password for the first time on the new Mac, you should have options for "I'm new to 1Password" and "I've used 1Password before". To sync your existing vault, choose "I've used 1Password before" and then select the Dropbox option.

    Or if you've already created a new vault, you can sync it with your vault in Dropbox by following these steps:

    • Open 1Password and go to the menu for 1Password > Preferences.
    • Select Sync, then choose Dropbox from the “Sync vault with” pop-up menu.
    • Click the Choose button and select your .agilekeychain file in Dropbox (then click Open).
    • Click Merge with Existing to start syncing.
