Installation of 1password on new iMac / How to get the three vault "imported"?

Hi! I'm using 1password on a Mac mini and have set-up 3 vaults there: primary, family, private. Sync-method is by Dropbox. I did now buy a new iMac and did install 1password there. After linking to Dropbox, I just get the primary vault in 1password. How do I "open" the other two vaults? Thanks & regards, Thorsten

Each vault has its own sync settings. Make sure you select the one you want to sync with Dropbox. See generally this knowledge base article.

Hi Stephen, thanks for the swift reply. The issue is that if I open the preferecences / sync windows, then on the left side there is only the primary vault shown. How do I open the other two vaults? Thanks! Thorsten

Sorry, I'm a little unclear whether you did that on the Mac mini or on the iMac. What I think you need to do is to ensure the vaults are first sync'd to Dropbox from the Mac mini—and you should there be able to see the three vaults to sync each to Dropbox. Does that make sense and, more importantly, does it work?

On my old Mac mini everything works fine and all three vault are also on Dropbox. Also on my new iMac, the three keychain files are synced on the local Dropbox folder. But still, 1password on the iMac is just showing the primary vault. Thorsten

I did resolve the issue: I just double-clicked each other keychain file in the local Dropbox folder and then 1password did start to open it.

I'm so glad it's sorted. As I don't use Dropbox I was working in the dark a little and I'm sorry not to have provided a better answer earlier.

    Hi @thorsten1303,

Sorry we didn't make it to your thread before now. It sounds like you've figured out our slightly unintuitive approach to adding existing vaults. Sorry it was a bit of a process to get you there but it sounds like you're up and running now on your new Mac

If you have any other questions please do ask.
