1Password on Mac keeps reverting back to old backup

I'm a little confused.

When I browse the web using the google chrome extension everything is fine and I get the latest passwords and logins.

However if I first open the 1 password app it shows me an old list of passwords and logins i saved a while ago. Then if I go on the web after doing this the chrome extension gives me the old list. To get the new list again I have to close 1 password and shut everything down, then start the google chrome extension first then go into 1 password mac app before the newest list is displayed.

So it seems that the logins I created in the chrome extension aren't being saved in the mac app unless it's open. I've created backups when the new information is in the mac app but doesn't seem to stick if the chrome extension isn't open.

Any ideas?

    The extension is merely a front end for the main database so you should not be seeing different things in each. We really need some more information before we can give advice so please tell us:

    1. exactly what version of 1P for Mac you are running (go to 1P > About 1Password and tell us exactly what it says there);
    2. your OS X version number;
    3. the version number of the 1P extension in Chrome;
    4. whether you sync your 1P data with any other device and, if so, what sync method you use.

    Finally, if you do a Spotlight search for "1Password" (without the quotation marks) on your Mac what results do you get? (I'm wondering whether you might have more than one copy, or version, of 1P on your Mac.)

    Hi @a2reno,

    I've got a sneaky feeling you might have more than one copy of 1Password on your Mac and depending on which version was being contacted you could be seeing different vaults.

    It's just a gut feeling so my suspicion is we'll be better off dealing with this after reviewing a diagnostic report which will allow us to inspect 1Password related parts of your system, including items you may not have realised were there.

    I would like you to create the following Diagnostic Report.

    Then attach everything to an email to us: support+ forum@agilebits.com

    Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

    Once you've sent the Report a post here with the ticket ID will help us to keep an eye out for it. :)

    Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!
