Citibank Sign On

OK, I know this is a trivial item, but ...

Each time there is a new 1P app update for Mac, my Citibank sign-on stops working. 1P no longer autofills the user ID and password fields. If I create a new login entry in 1P for Citibank, it works again. But I have to do this every time there is a 1P app update. It's happened twice this month, so I'm guessing there have been two updates to 1P for Mac this month (although I only recall one of them). Anyone else seeing this issue?

  • Hi @pomme4moi,

I'm so sorry about the frustration here!

A little while ago in the last update we did fix saving and filling on Citibank - this would have required you to save a new item one last time. Since then, however, we have not changed how this works in the betas, and filling should continue to work fine - and does for me.

Have you tried the betas of 1Password for Mac? If not and if you are interested in giving them a try, I would be curious to see if you run into this issue after those updates as well.

If you'd rather not use a beta, then keep us posted about what happens after the next update. I'm confident that you should be able to continue filling, but if not then we definitely want to know! :)

Thanks for the offer, but I do not care to use the beta version.

When I manually (i.e., copy and paste) my ID and password into the Citibank site, 1P does not require me to save a new login item. Is there a way I can force 1P to create a new login item? I guess 1P knows there already is a Citibank login item in my 1P database, so maybe it thinks it does not need to create a new one ...

    Hi @pomme4moi ,

It's completely fine if you're not interested in using the betas - as Meek says, please let us know if you need to re-save your Login after the next update.

When I manually (i.e., copy and paste) my ID and password into the Citibank site, 1P does not require me to save a new login item. Is there a way I can force 1P to create a new login item?

If you are copying and pasting information that already exists in 1Password, the app will not prompt you to save the data (because it is already saved in the app). We have a set of steps in our Knowledgebase that can help you Save a New Login Manually. These are great steps to keep handy, as they will often solve filling issues when a particular Login is misbehaving.
