    Hi @negativeh,

I'm sorry you're having trouble with Dropbox sync!

...all the info on my phone and ipad is different from my MacBook.

Can you please elaborate on that? Do you mean you have completely different data on your iOS devices than on your Mac? Had you previously been syncing 1Password between your Mac and iOS devices, or is this the first time you've tried to do that? Do the iPhone and iPad have the same 1Password data, or is it different?

Is Dropbox sync currently enabled in the sync settings of 1Password on your Mac, iPhone, and iPad? If you need help to set up Dropbox sync, you can follow these steps on your Mac, and these steps on your iPhone and iPad.

If you're having trouble with any of that, please let us know some more details about the current state of Dropbox sync on all three, and we'll continue from there. Thanks!

I got as far on my iPhone as "choose your vault: I got a message that said Vault mismatch and they recommended that I do not merge

    Hi @negativeh ,

I'm sorry that the warning there is worrying you. Please tap on the 'More info' button to determine just how different those two vaults are. Often there is only a difference of a few items. (We're looking into ways to make this warning a bit less dire in the future!) In any case, 1Password is generally pretty great at merging and should be able to ensure that the changes to your database get updated properly.

If you do see a significant difference in your vaults, please let us know which device has your most up-to-date data, and we can instruct you how to reset sync to ensure that the up-to-date data is the data that gets propagated to your other devices.

On 1password, using Dropbox to sync, my iPhone has 235 items in vault and 239 in Dropbox vault. My 1Password was last updated 5/4 and by DB vault 5/5. On IPad, it's 197 items in 1Password and 239 in Dropbox. Last updated 11/21/14 and DB vault updated 5/5.

    Hi @negativeh,

It sounds like you used to sync your data between your Mac and iOS devices, but they stopped syncing at some point. If you've added items to 1Password on your Mac since the sync stopped working, that explains why your vault has more items on your Mac (and in Dropbox) than on your iOS devices.

When enabling Dropbox sync in 1Password for iOS, the Vault Mismatch warning appears just in case you have multiple vaults, so you don't accidentally merge two completely different vaults together. We have more information about that message here: 1Password reports a “Vault Mismatch”

If you only use one vault in 1Password, you can go ahead and merge the data. When you see the Vault Mismatch message, tap More Info, then tap Merge These Vaults Anyway. That will simply update 1Password on the iOS device with any newer data in Dropbox (and vice versa).

Sorry for the confusion about that! Hopefully this helps, but please let us know if you have more questions or need more help with that. We're here for you!
