1Password 5 cannot be opened because of a problem

I'm having the same problem. As soon as I updated my Mac to OS OS 10.10.3, I get the error saying "1Password 5 cannot be opened because of a problem". I have downloaded 1Password 5 again and tried to reinstall but I'm still getting the same error.

@Shannon please try this exact procedure:
- Drag the 1P app to the trash (don't use any app cleaner tool, which is likely to try to delete files you need to keep).
- Empty the trash and reboot.
- Re-download and re-install 1P.
@drjustina I'm not at all sure why that exact procedure would not work for you unless it's possible you have some other copy of 1P on your Mac.

Hi @drjustina and @Shannon,
I'm sorry you're getting an error when trying to open 1Password! The steps from Stephen (delete the app, empty Trash, reboot, reinstall) normally solve this sort of problem. If you've tried that but still receive the error message, that might happen if there are multiple copies of 1Password on your Mac (including backup drives). For help to search for and remove extra copies of 1Password, please take a look at this knowledgebase article.
Does that help at all? Please let us know how it all goes. If it's still a problem after that, we'll be happy to continue working with you to solve it. Thanks!

Hi @Drew_Ag and @Stephen_C,
I followed your directions and 1P 5 is now working correctly. I was lost without my passwords. So glad to have the app back and running now. Thank you!
