Backup file location

I would like to move the auto generated backup files to my Dropbox cloud. What is the easiest way to do this? I assume, since encrypted, it would be OK there

Thanks, Gary

Assuming you're using 1P4 or 1P5 this knowledge base article will help you find your backup files. Yes, they certainly are encrypted, so there's no particular risk in storing them on Dropbox I guess. Personally, I rely on Time Machine and Carbon Copy Cloner backups to an external disk.

    Hi @Gary Monzon,

Hopefully you found Stephen_C's answer useful. Now there isn't a way to tell 1Password to backup to a different location but you can manually move the files if you wish. The only problem with doing so is they then won't be available to 1Password until they were copied back. That folder path is essentially hardcoded into the application. Part of the reason will probably be due to sandboxing requirements in the Mac App Store (MAS) version and the Agile Web Store (AWS) version follows suit to reduce the differences in the code.

If you have any follow up questions do please ask
