Please i cannnot open 1 password app. and I am desperate to get my passwords.
Please help !!!!!!!!0 -
That's good news.
How long is shortly.@tac: I'm afraid that's something only Apple could possibly know. I suspect it's just a matter of the file propagating throughout their content delivery networks, so they may not be able to say for certain either. But admittedly that's merely my semi-educated guess. As 3rd party developers, we just don't have any insight into the App Store's mechanisms.
@igreenalien, @enoka: Hang tight! Please see my post above.
One thing that anyone can do is search for 1Password in the App Store and hit Update as soon as it's offered. Similar to how you won't get a notification of a new iOS version immediately, these roll out to different people at different times.
Alternatively, if you have a backup of your 1Password data, you can simply reinstall the app and then restore your data, rather than waiting for the update to be offered. Cheers! :)

Hello,
I've an iPhone 6 (ios 9.1) and the 1password app close after entering the main password. Thanks for your help0 -
I see an open button for 6.1. I already installed 6.1 and ever since then it crashes. I've tried numerous times to open from the App Store or using the app icon. No success. Will the update be 6.1.1?

Why is 1Password failing to open or crashes immediately after you input manual password after doing a complete power down reset on my iPad Air2?
1Password Version: 6.1
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: iOS 9.1
Sync Type: ICloud
Referrer: forum-search:Since last iOS update for iPad Air2, 1Password fails to open or crashes immediately...0 -
No issues for me with 1Password 6.1 for iOS and iOS 9.1. I've just done a restore of my iPad and am in the process of reinstalling apps.

No success. Will the update be 6.1.1?
No, it will be 6.1. It is not a new update. It is the update that we released yesterday at noon EST. The problem appears to be that the update had not fully propagated across Apple's CDN when the App Store started pushing the notification of an update out.
If you have a copy of your data stored somewhere other than on your iOS device and still are not seeing the update, I'd recommend removing and reinstalling. Unfortunately if you do not have another copy of your data I cannot recommend this as removing the app will remove all of your 1Password data as well. In that case the best suggestion I can offer is to wait for the update to appear from Apple. And of course once this issue is resolved, start making regular backups.

6.1 is still crashing on launch on iPhone 6 running IOS 9.1.

Thanks @igreenalien. This may indeed resolve the problem for folks who have their data backed up or synced.
For anyone who cannot do that, we have reached out to Apple for assistance with this issue, and are working with them on a solution. Ideally the 6.1 update will show up in your updates tab to be installed, but it seems that still has not happened yet for some folks.

Hi,
I have recently installed iOS 9.1 on my iPhone 5. Subsequently, I was requested this morning to update my 1password App, which I did. Since then, I'm not able to access my Data. The App accepts my Master Password, but it closes automatically right after that... Can anybody help? How big is the chance to loose my saved Data? I never had such a problem with the App! Thanks0 -
Not sure why? Started using finger print log in lately, but until today I've been able to access app without issue?

Hi @enoka @steph2012 ,
We are tracking an issue with this week's update not being able to open in some instances. Can you check the App Store app for a 1Password update. And if one is there, please update and let us know if that resolves your issue.
Thanks,
Kevin0 -
@bwoodruff It says open and I click open and I type in my password then it crashes!

If I delete the app then reinstall it, will it have all my data saved? I didn't have it recently synced so many of the passwords are out dated and some are probably not there.

My 1password will not open. I have an iPhone 6. With version 6.1 which apparently updated yesterday. When I first turn on the phone, I can enter my 1password password, but the screen flashes then immediately closes. After that I can't even get to the enter password screen. There are no new updates listed in the App Store.

Guessing the problem is your latest update?

Waiting for the update on App Store... that doesn't come... In the meanwhile I cannot access my stored passwords.
Very bad...0 -
With such a major problem you would think 1Password would be offering around the clock support!

@Hughesy1985 ...or offer a discount on the Pro version for the users that are penalized by this bug...
0 -
@JasonFlox it s not their mistake you should ask Apple for such discount :)

@igreenalien I must say that you are right!

It's easy to blame Apple but the fact is many users have upgraded to a dodgy version that has left us without any passwords for 2 days and counting. We are all waiting an hoping for a fix while the 1Password team is sound asleep. No replies for over 14 hours now. It makes me wonder how safe my passwords are with a team providing a service of this quality.

That's also true. Nobody of the Agilebits team verified the update once have been published by Apple. They could remove it immediately before it reaches their customers.
I was the first one to give the alert!0 -

@Hughesy1985: We do! Still awake here, but we do try to respond to posts on a first-come-first-served basis, so I apologize for the delay while we reply to others. There also isn't really anything more I can say at this point. :(

We don't have your passwords. That's the whole point of 1Password, after all!

@JasonFlox: To be clear, as soon as the update reaches us from the App Store, it's reached the rest of you as well, so that really isn't possible.
There isn't a problem with the app itself. It was beta tested extensively. But unfortunately it isn't possible for us to push it out to anyone ourselves. It has to be distributed by the App Store. And if it is damaged in the process (which seems to be what has happened), we don't have the ability to force an App Store update.
I'm really sorry that you're all being affected by this issue. As I mentioned earlier, you'll either need to reinstall a fresh copy of the app and then restore or sync your data back, or wait for the App Store to offer the update.
