  • Good morning @M_Rabdau. We have had some trouble with the 6.1 update for some folks and we're working on a solution. Today I will be submitting 6.1.1 to Apple for approval which should fix the trouble.

  • Good morning, @tac. We absolutely will be taking care of this one as soon as possible. The plan for today is to submit version 6.1.1 for review. Hopefully it can be expedited and we'll have this nasty business behind us. Again, sorry for all the trouble.

    @igreenalien: Sure! Go to Notifications at the top, click the 'user' icon in the upper right, select Edit Profile **, then **Notification Preferences on the left, deselect the checkboxes on the right, and then click Save Preferences all the way at the bottom. Cheers! :)

    I too am having problems opening my iphone 1password app. Looks like it just updated and now will not open. Please help.

    Any idea how long the fix will take? I thought of deleting the App then reloading; and even though it's regularly backed up, don't feel this is the best solution to resolve the issue, so I'm holding off for now...

    I'm having the same problem with my iPhone 6s. I can't open the app. When I tap the icon the phone switches to the desktop and won't open.

    We have heard of a few reports of difficulty with the 6.1 update. It appears when some folks updated they did not actually get the full 6.1 update. In some cases opening the App Store > Updates tab will show an update available for 1Password (v6.1) an installing this update will resolve the issue. For folks who do not have this option available we've reached out to Apple and are working with them on resolving the issue.

    I cannot even open the app. When I put my thumb on for security access the app disconnects and returns immediately to the app directory on my phone. I have tried turning the phone off and rebooting several times. I have over 50 passwords stored and need access today! What is wrong with the app? Why is it doing this? How do I resolve the issue? Not sure I'm going to continue using the app due to this problem.

    The app will not even try to open. When I select the app it either returns to screen or allows me to try to touch to open and then just returns to screen!

    Could you just tell me how to delete the 6.1 update so I can go back to using 1password. I have come to rely on this app for many important items and really need access ASAP!

    If, and only if, you have either a backup that you are confident is up to date, or have been syncing your 1Password data with iCloud, Dropbox, or another device, and you are confident the sync data is up to date: you can try removing the 1Password app from the device and re-downloading it. Note that this will erase all 1Password data stored on the device, so it is critical you have that data stored in another location in order to restore/sync from.

    Unfortunately it isn't that simple. The App Store does not allow apps to be downgraded.

    How are you backing up your 1Password data? If you are backing up following these instructions:

    https://support.1password.com/ios-itunes-backups/

    Or if you have been actively syncing with Dropbox or iCloud, and are confident your sync data is up to date...

    Or if you have been WiFi syncing with a Mac or Windows PC and you have your 1Password data there....

    Then reinstalling should work for you. Beyond that I would not recommend it. The built-in iOS iCloud or iTunes backups have not proven to be sufficient for backing up 1Password data.

    Although the issue does not appear, in most cases, to be with the 6.1 update itself (but rather in that the 6.1 update appears to have been damaged in distribution):

    We are submitting v6.1.1 to Apple today, and we will have that to you as soon as possible after it goes through Apple's mandatory review process

    Thanks Ben! Actually, no new update available after the recent one two days ago (the one hat actually caused the problem). OK, I'll be waiting for a new update to come (hopefully soon).

    I have a similar problem. 1Password will not open, or if it does ask for a thumb print or master password, it immediately closes and returns to the default screen. I'm operating on a 5s phone with iOS 9.1

    Haven't had problems until today. I honestly can't remember if I accessed 1Password after upgrading my iOS or not. I noticed that my phone did an automatic update of 1Password on November 9, and since that time I can't open it. Hope there's a fix soon.

    I have the same problem. Did the 6.1 update and it crash after I type in the right password. I'll hope it get fixed soon, need a password asap!

  • Good evening everyone. I want you all to know that I have just submitted 1Password 6.1.1 to Apple for review. While there's no guarantee of a quick turnaround time with the update, I have requested that they expedite the review. Thank you for your patience.

    On November my iPhone 6 updated my 1Password app to 6.1. I tried to open for the first time since the update and my screen blinks and the app disappears.
