WiFi sync not running automatically on iPhone 5S

Configuration 1: MacBook Pro Retina (15 inch, mid 2012), OS X 10.11.2 (El Capitan), 1Password 5.4 - iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 9.2, 1Password 6.1.2
WiFi sync between Mac and iPhone works and runs automatically

Configuration 2: MacBook Pro (15 inch, mid 2009), OS X 10.11.2 (El Capitan), 1Password 5.4 - iPhone 5S, iOS 9.2, 1Password 6.1.2
WiFi sync between Mac and iPhone works, but does not run automatically and has to be started manually

I wonder why these two configurations behave differently. Also I noticed that the 1Password interfaces on the iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 5S look differently and offer different functionality. (I could provide screenshots if necessary).

@nefuchs: I'm guessing that Configuration 1 uses a single vault, and Configuration 2 uses multiple vaults. Is that correct?

Unfortunately the new All Vaults feature has caused some issues syncing, but we've got a fix in the works to address this. You can read more in the announcement at the top of the iOS category:

Known vault sync issues in 1Password for iOS

If you're having a different issue, please let me know some additional details and we'll get to the bottom of it. Thanks in advance! :)

    Hi brenty

Configuration 2 uses only the primary vault. Thus there must be another reason for the behaviour.

    Best.

  • Hi @nefuchs,

I believe this is actually covered by the same bug. We've got this fixed up in beta, so if all goes well there we should see the fix included in the next update.

    Thanks!

    Ben
