iCloud sync counts off between iPhone / iPad / Desktop - fixed
I noticed an account I added on my Mac desktop was not on my iPhone5s. :frown:
Total counts were 999 and 998...but there were at least 5 easy to spot differences in the counts +/- of different categories.
Checked Desktop and iPhone "sync status" -- and did a manual sync. Didn't fix it.
I made a change to a login on the desktop...sync'd - did not appear on the iPhone or iPad.
I made a new Secure note on the iPhone5s -> it showed up on the iPad, but not on the desktop.
I made a new Secure note on the Desktop -> did **not **show up on iPad nor iPhone.
I made a new Secure note on the iPad Air II -> showed up on the iPhone, but not the Desktop.
I've got the same userid but at three different domains mac.com, me.com, icloud.com
Desktop used me.com (But in Contacts, account showed @mac.com)
iCloud account on iPad and iPhone were both @icloud.com
Looks like I'm paying the price for being an Apple user for a long time, from the .Mac days to MobileMe (me.com) to iCloud.com... and don't even ask about my iTunes account and "family" issues! :wink:
Logged out from iCloud on the Desktop. (After backing up my contacts/calendar which seemed to be syncing fine.)
Logged back into iCloud on desktop with "@icloud.com" instead of @me.com
Fixed my daughters Win 10 machine's sudden inability to launch Windows Mail without immediately crashing... with some crazy PowerShell command run as Admin. Yikes.
Checked my iPhone and Desktop and iPad... 1,004 items in all of them. :smile: :+1: :+1:
Yay. Hope this helps somebody else... i.e. if in doubt, check to make sure your account name is the same for iCloud sync. Even though Apple stuff may sync fine... 1Password needs it to be in sync before it will be in sync. ;-)

Oh gosh, for those of us who juggle multiple Apple IDs things can definitely get hairy! A good first troubleshooting step if item numbers are different on different devices is to make sure that the Apple ID on all devices is exactly the same :)
I'm glad you were able to figure out what was happening with 1Password (and resolve your daughter's problems on her computer!!). Thanks for taking the time to share the tip!
