Feature request: limit dropbox access
Hello All,
While i was reviewing my dropbox security settings i noticed some apps are using limited access to dropbox. While 1password is still using the "full access" option, those apps are using "App folder" access. Which means they are only allowed to read/write in their specific assigned folder.
Would it be possible to limit 1password's access as well? Maybe in a future release?
Kind Regards, Mark

Hi Mark ( @Brainfrz ),
Thanks for taking the time to write in. This is definitely something we'd like to do in the future. The reason it hasn't happened yet is because we developed our Dropbox sync interface long before the "Apps" folder became a standard, and folks wanted the ability to store their keychain wherever they wanted within the Dropbox file system. Originally we required the keychain be stored at Dropbox/1Password.agilekeychain, and many folks didn't like that it was in the root of the Dropbox folder (for organizational reasons).
As such there are a lot of legacy installations out there where the keychain is not located at Dropbox/Apps/1Password.agilekeychain (or 1Password.opvault) and as such flipping the switch to allow ourselves access only to the Apps folder would prevent these folks from syncing.
It is a problem we'd like to address, but we don't have a solution on the radar at this point.
Thanks!
Ben
