1Password was working for me (more or less), but installing the update to 6.2( 620011) broke it
I haven’t been able to use 1Password on my Mac Mini since installing today’s update. First, it tried to connect with mini 1Password and took a long time to do that before giving up. I quit 1Password, and now when I launch it, all I get is a blank rectangle.
Before installing today’s app store update, the app worked fine, more or less. On my Mac Mini, it sometimes was a bit slow to connect to mini 1Password, but other than that, was functional.

I just deleted the app and reinstalled it, and it seems to be working again.

1Preview stopped working again, and now just shows an empty rectangle. This never happened before this update.

Now when it tries to launch, I get

Hi @Nechama,
I'm sorry you're having trouble with the latest update for 1Password!
It sounds like a few different things have been happening when trying to open 1Password. To give us a better idea of what's happening so we can help to solve this, can you please let us know a few more details:
First, it tried to connect with mini 1Password and took a long time to do that before giving up.
When that happened, were you trying to launch the main 1Password app, or were you trying to open the 1Password browser extension / 1Password mini? What did you see while it was trying to connect with 1Password mini? What happened when it gave up? If you received any error messages, what did they say? Is this problem still happening, or does it seem to have resolved itself?
I quit 1Password, and now when I launch it, all I get is a blank rectangle.
Can you elaborate on what you mean by "blank rectangle"? Do you mean you see a white/gray rectangle in the same shape as the 1Password window? Or is it a transparent window, and all you can see are the borders? Does that happen when opening the main 1Password app, or the extension/mini?
Since these problems started, have you restarted your Mac? If not, please try that - does it make any difference?
Also, are you using the AgileBits Store version or the Mac App Store version of 1Password? It looks like the Mac App Store version, but I wanted to check to make sure.
Thanks in advance! :)

Next time I have problems, I’ll write detailed notes so I have all the info that may be needed.
I did shut down my Mac last night, hoping that would resolve the problems, and just started it up. So far, 1Password is working great and it’s very responsive. I’ll let you know if this changes during the day!
Re: the issue I was having before the update with slow responsiveness: To the best of my recollection, I was having 2 problems. 1) In trying to use the main 1Password app, once I entered my password, it sometimes (only about 30% of the time?) took a while for the app to accept the password and show me the main screen. Also, 2) When trying to use the 1Password browser extension / 1Password mini, it often took a much, much longer timer, and sometimes didn’t even connect. There were no error messages. At the moment, it’s all zipping along (the main app and the mini). I don’t know if this would have any bearing on matters with 1Password, but last night, I launched Font Book and deleted some duplicate fonts that I thought might have been causing Excel to crash.
Re: the blank rectangle. It was a transparent window, and all I could see was the borders. That happened with the main app. The mini app actually was usable.
I’m using the app store version.
Thanks!

Thanks @Nechama! Indeed, it sounds like you ran into a couple different problems. Our developers have been looking into an issue where there's a significant delay when unlocking 1Password mini - however, that particular issue only affects 1Password mini, and there shouldn't be a delay when unlocking the main app. So I'm not sure why that was also happening, but it's possible that will be fine now that you've restarted your Mac.
If you happen to run into the unlocking delay again (in either mini or the main app), please try restarting 1Password mini to see if that helps: From the main 1Password app, go to Help > Troubleshooting > Restart 1Password mini.
Re: the blank rectangle. It was a transparent window, and all I could see was the borders. That happened with the main app. The mini app actually was usable.
This is a different issue which we just became aware of very recently. So far, it only seems to be happening for a small number of users, and at least one of those users has said it also happens in other apps, so this may or may not be an issue in OS X. However, our developers are looking into it to see if they can figure out for sure what's causing that. If you're interested, there's a forum discussion about it here: Weird outline of application after unlocking.
Just to avoid confusion, if you have any information about the problem with the transparent window that you'd like to add, it will help if you can post it in that thread. If you have more problems with the unlocking delay, please reply in this current discussion.
I'm sorry again for the inconvenience! Hopefully this at least helps to explain a bit more about those issues.
