multiple, conflicting copies of 1Password from your system
In the FAQ you say "multiple, conflicting copies of 1Password from your system"
How do you do this - my Carbon copy cloner backup is on the same drive as my ™ backup and also other things that need to be mounter. All are in separate partitions

@bestlem this knowledge base article covers the situation (and I appreciate you may already have seen it):
How to remove multiple, conflicting copies of 1Password from your system
Note the last section about backup drives. The solution (if you wish to have the backup drive/partition permanently connected) is to:
- delete any copy of the 1Password app file (only) from the backup drive/partition; and
- exclude the 1Password app file from any further backups (because, of course, you can always re-download it if you need to).
Provided you don't use any app cleaner tool when deleting the app file none of this will interfere with your 1Password data.

Hello @bestlem,
I hope Stephen_C's post helped. While it might seem annoying to have to omit 1Password from a backup it's just the application bundle, the really important part of the support files, vault and all the backups will be backed up. In the event you need to use a clone partition for any reason all you would need to do is download a fresh copy of 1Password for Mac and it would be exactly as you left it.
Obviously we would love to have it where our users don't have to do this but the issue is we can't exert any control over which copy if 1Password mini is launched and OS X is just as likely to launch a copy from an external drive as it is the copy held in the
/Applications/
folder. If this changes we will be very happy.0 -
As I had CCC's safety net turned on and another separate backup it was the deletion of 6 copies of 1password so took several reboots
