My iphone is locked (another issue) and I am trying to access 1password from another device
I woke up the other day and my iphone is suddenly asking for a 6 digit passcode, when my phone is set up for 4 digits. It appears the only solution is to erase the phone and start over. I am not particularly technical and I think I have it backed up to icloud but not sure. Before I do a reset I want to access my 1Password vault from my other "working" iphone. It is asking for a secret key, which I do not have. and I am suspect that it is not recognizing my email. I have wasted hours trying to figure something out and am totally at a loss as to what to do. If I can at least get this 1password vault going, I'll feel better about erasing my phone.
Thanks for any help.

@marceolson: Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry for the confusion! It sounds like you may be trying to login with a 1Password Account, but you will only have one if you've signed up for a 1Password.com membership. That’s the only way you’ll have a Secret Key or Sign In URL, or be able to access your data through 1Password.com. Instead, you can use 1Password without an account you can sync your data from another device or create a new vault. Where do you have your 1Password data saved currently?

Hi, thanks for getting back to me. My phone was not backed up and I was being told I was going to have to wipe it. I ended up working it out and am now back in my phone. I uploaded the app to my other phone and it sees me as a new customer. I tried typing in my user name and password and it kept asking for the secret key. However, as mentioned, I am using the free version and should not need the secret key. I was unable to work through that. I would like to save my vault contents on another device, just in case... Just can't get past the secret key issue.

Without a 1Password.com subscription membership you'd have two options:
- You could set up syncing: Sync your 1Password data
- You could backup the data from one device and restore it to the other: 1Password backups
(you could do both)
That said, I'd highly recommend checking out membership:
What are the benefits of a 1Password membership?
I hope that helps. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.
