Newest IOS and key chain interferes with creating 1Password passwords. How to stop this?

When I engage in an initial sign-in, keychain jumps in and tries to suggest one of it's passwords, in effect over-riding 1Password. Same thing happens when trying to sign in with a previously saved 1Password password. How do I get 1Password to be my go to App for passwords and stop keychain from butting in.
