I have to agree with most of the things said here. The App looks pretty and performs well, but the browser extension for Safari is atrocious.
The App feels plenty fast, but it has created so many threads, more than the old 1P7 seemed to? I suspect its due to the Electron framework being used (sigh) but yes it seems the focus has been entirely on cross-platforming, rather than just focusing on building the best possible macOS App.
