Bug: CXP export on iOS shows 0 items (Family subscription)

I'm trying to export my vault data using the Credential Exchange Protocol (CXP) on iOS, but the export consistently shows "Export 0 items" regardless of the destination app.

Setup:
- 1Password with a Family subscription (personal account)
- iPhone running iOS 26.3
- 1Password app is up to date from the App Store

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open 1Password on iPhone
2. Tap the account icon at the top left → Settings
3. Go to Advanced → Start Export
4. Tap Continue on the information screen
5. Select a destination app (tried both Bitwarden and Apple Passwords)
6. First tap on Continue always does nothing - tried this flow multiple times
7. Second tap on Continue shows "Export 0 items”

  • Hi, thanks for the answer, but after a lot of trial and error, I found a workaround and the root cause.

Workaround using Travel Mode to export vault by vault:

    1. On the 1Password web UI (1password.com), create a new vault and mark it as "Safe for Travel"
    2. Move items into this vault — you can drag and drop from your main vault in the web UI
    3. Turn off "Safe for Travel" for all other vaults
    4. Enable Travel Mode
    5. On your iPhone, go to Settings → Advanced → Start Export and export to your target password manager
    6. If the export still shows "0 items" — move half the items back to your main vault and try again
    7. Repeat (binary search) until you find the problematic item

    Root cause:

In my case, after about 13 rounds of splitting, I found a single item that had a broken link/reference to another item that no longer existed (something like "missing link to external item"). This one item caused the entire CXP export to fail silently with 0 items. Once I removed the link, the full export went through.

  • Hello Dmitrii! 👋

I'm sorry that you're running into issues when exporting your items using the Credential Exchange Protocol (CXP). So that our team can look into this further, can you reproduce the issue one more time and then I'd like to ask you to create and share a 1Password diagnostics report from your iOS device:

    Send a diagnostics report (iOS)

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support@1password.com

    With your email please include:

Just tried with my second account - it works and offers me to export all my items and no second click on export is required.
But I really need to export my primary account - it contains 100s of items and many passkeys that I don't want to recreate :(
