End "A Quicker Way to Sign in"
This (A Quicker Way to Sign in popup) is literally the most annoying pop up that is driving me crazy. I love 1password, but this one continuing, non-stop annoyance is enough to make me leave 1password. We ought to be able to permanently disable it and still be able to clear our cookies, etc. I have seen the other threads where 1password says why this stays, but I am not buying that this can't be easily and permanently disabled.
Sorry, but I can't take this "feature" much longer. Maybe I am wrong, but I bet many are similarly annoyed.
Hello georgebh! 👋
I'm sorry that you're seeing the following message after clearing your browser's history:
1Password in the browser stores settings information in a data store designated by Safari for browser extensions so that you don't see the same prompt each time that you open your browser. Unfortunately, Safari will wipe this data store when you clear history and cookies which means that 1Password (and any other extension) will lose access to previously stored settings information and will need to be setup from scratch all over again. This causes prompts that you've previously dismissed to appear again as if you were on a new device.
Other browsers, like Firefox and Chrome, don't wipe out the extension data store so folks on those browsers won't encounter this issue when clearing history/cookies in those browsers.
That being said, I've passed along your feedback and experience to the team. Hopefully the team can find ways to workaround this issue in the future.
