2 years agoQuick Access Disappearing After Entering Password
After I type in my password to unlock quick access, quick access disappears, sometimes leading me to type in the wrong application when I thought I should be searching for a password.

I'm not seeing an email from you yet. Did you use the same email address that you use for the forums? And did you send the diagnostics report to
support+forum@1password.com

@jonathancohlmeyer and @verdurin
So that we can investigate this further, I'd like to ask both of you to restart your Mac, reproduce the issue one more time, and then create a diagnostics report from your Mac:
Sending Diagnostics Reports (Mac)
Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to
support+forum@1password.com
.With your email please include:
- A link to this thread: https://1password.community/discussion/141079/quick-access-disappearing-after-entering-password
- Your forum username:

- Please do not post your diagnostic report to the forum. This is for your privacy and security.
Please send the entire file.
You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!

I'm seeing the same symptom on a MacBook Pro running Ventura 13.4.1.
After unlocking the laptop, the first time I try Quick Access, the window disappears and I have to open it again.

In addition, sometimes, when I hit the keyboard shortcut to open 1Password quick access, it either:
- Does not show up (I have to launch 1Password via Spotlight) and then unlock or
- It does show up, but under the active application, I need to click on the 1Password window to type my password to unlock.
I am using a Mac in Mac Stadium (so thus can not use Touch ID).

I do have "show one password in the menu bar" turned on and this still happens, sometimes it even hides the active application (looks like it hits the keyboard shortcut CMD + H).

Hello @jonathancohlmeyer! 👋
I'm sorry that you're running into an issue when unlocking 1Password to use Quick Access. I think that I'm able to reproduce the issue when I disable Touch ID unlock and turn off the 1Password icon in the menu bar. Can you let me know if that matches your configuration as well?
If your menu bar icon is turned off and you turn on the menu bar icon then do you still see the same issue? Follow these steps:
- Open and unlock 1Password for Mac.
- Click on 1Password next to the  in the menu bar.
- Click on Settings.
- Click on General.
- Turn on "Keep 1Password in the menu bar".
I look forward to hearing from you.
-Dave
