Staying signed in to 1Password

I finally arrived at the settings and set them according to my preferences.

I'm happy to hear that you were able to change the auto-lock settings.

I verified that I have version 2.13.0, but am still not sure whether it is for the app or the toolbar icon. I use them both. How do I acquire version 8, and is it really necessary?

2.13.0 would be the latest version of the 1Password browser extension. You said that you use the app as well, can you tell me what version you currently have installed? You can find out by following these steps:

  1. Open the Applications folder on your Mac.
  2. Double-click on "1Password.app" (or "1Password 7.app" if you see that).
  3. Click on 1Password next to the  in the menu bar.
  4. Click on About 1Password.

By the way, what is meant by: "You can use Markdown in your post."

Markdown is a way to format text. For example, if I wanted to bold the word "Hello" then I would write it with two asterisks on either side:

**Hello**

and it would appear like this when I posted my comment:

Hello

You don't have to use Markdown and you can also just use the formatting buttons instead if you wish:
