Two-Factor Authentication for EA doesn't work

I've had this problem to. I creates a url in the 1-time password field, but 1password also has a "QR code not recognized" error that comes up.

I was able to setup the 2FA.

Can you try creating an item on our test website and see if you are able to scan the QR code here? Here's how:

1. Go to https://fill.dev/form/login-simple and enter some junk data
2. Click the Save in 1Password prompt and save a new item.
3. Now go to https://fill.dev/form/registration-2fa
4. Click on the 1Password icon in your browser toolbar and choose the 3 dot menu in the corner of the item > Scan QR code

Do you see the same message or does it add the 2FA code as you would expect?

If this page works as expected for you, I think it would be useful if we could gather some page details for the EA Origins site to pass on to our development team to take a closer look. Here's how:

1. Navigate to the page with the QR code
2. Right click the 1Password icon in your browser toolbar.
3. Click Help and choose Collect Page Structure.
4. 1Password will save a .json file to your "Downloads" folder.
5. Attach the downloaded .json file to an email addressed to support+forum@1password.com with a link to this thread.

woops, the "2FA QR code can't be found" disappeared when I took the screenshot.

I tried what you said, but the QR code isn't recognized.
It says 2FA QR code can't be found.

Thanks for providing further details along with screenshots!

It appears that you're clicking somewhere else as options the screenshot and options you mentioned are not coming from 1Password. Can you first double-check and confirm that you have a Login item saved in 1Password for EA Origins? This will be necessary in order to add two-factor authentication. If so, I'd like to ask if you can try the following steps:

1. Unlock 1Password in your browser.
2. Visit the EA Origins website, autofill your credentials, and sign in.
3. Navigate to the EA Origins account Security settings and complete the steps necessary to show the QR Code on the screen, as seen in your screenshot for step 5.
4. Click the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and ensure the EA Origins item is currently selected.
5. Within the EA Origin's item click the kebab menu ( ⋮ ) next to the "Autofill" button, then select "Scan QR Code".

Let us know if you're able to successfully scan the QR code to store a one-time password in 1Password.

1. I go to my EA Account's Security settings using my PC browser.

2. I click on "Turn On" under the Login Verification.

3. I verify my self by having the security code sent to me via email. (I think this step is skipped if you already verified yourself recently)

4. I choose "App Authenticator" in the "Turn On Login Verification".

5. I'm shown a QR code in the "Set up an App Authenticator", but none of the QR code work when I right click and copy the QR code to the clipboard.

So I never got the 2FA to turned on using 1Password. So there is no 'Scan QR code' option when I click on the three dots of my EA item. The screenshot here in Japanese but it only gives the options 'Play', 'Show properties', 'Repair', 'Uninstall', and my play time.

Can you let me know the steps you are taking to set up 2FA on this website?

Do you get to a page where it offers you a QR code to scan? What happens if you click on the three dots in the corner of your EA item and choose 'Scan QR code'? Does it work or does it fail to scan?

Any detail would be really helpful.
