Vaults in migration, and duplicates
Having used 1Password 7 on my Mac mini, I've just installed 1Password 8 and migrated my data. Now 1Password 8 on my Mac mini shows three vaults: Personal, Imported Default, and Primary. The Primar...

Hello syncwizard! 👋
I understand that you recently migrated to 1Password 8 and that you're seeing duplicate items in different vaults. If duplicate items are exactly the same and in the same vault then you can also use 1Password's Watchtower tool to clean them up:
- Open and unlock 1Password for Mac.
- Click on Watchtower in the sidebar.
- Click on Show Items under Items with duplicates.
You can read more about Watchtower here: Use Watchtower to find account details you need to change - Find duplicate items
In your case, it sounds like the bulk of the duplicate items are in different vaults so the Watchtower tool won't help in that case. Instead those items will require manual review.
After eliminating duplicates, which vault should I keep in order to sync what's on the Mac mini with the two other devices?
The Personal vault is the default vault that comes with your 1Password account. I recommend that you review the duplicate items in the "Imported Default" vault and move any information that you need to keep to the Personal vault (if it isn't already there) before deleting the duplicate from the "Imported Default" vault. Once you've verified that you see a complete and correct copy of your data in the Personal vault, you can delete the "Imported Default" vault.
I hope that helps.
