I've been using 1password for all my devices for a while. It's great to use in Windows. In Android, using password autofill is a bit spotty, but it works sometimes. However, I am never able to get passkeys to work. Google says it couldn't find any passkeys on my device. The problem is the options that it gives are to check other physical devices. It doesn't give an option to check an app (e.g., 1password). I have switched phones from Galaxy Z fold6 to Z Fold7, so part of the reason I wanted to use 1password for passkeys was to avoid the issues with switching phones. I am vaguely aware that this may be a problem with Android or Chrome rather than with 1password because I don't have the same issue in Windows. But I still wanted to see if anyone had successfully used passkeys in 1password14Views0likes0CommentsGoogle's advanced protection
I use 1password and have enabled google's "advanced protection" (https://landing.google.com/intl/en_in/advancedprotection/). I recently attempted to restore my android phone from backup and found it impossible to logon to google without temporarily disabling advanced protection. Note that the restore logon takes place before I have 1password on the device. Google insisted that I use my passkeys which were not on the device. It also had an option to scan a QR code from another device which had the passcode, but I don't know of a way to scan this QR code from 1password. Has 1password thought of supporting this somehow, or is temporarily disabling the advanced protection the preferred solution?13Views0likes0CommentsPixel 10 issues
A new Pixel means new ways for Google to break things. Just wanted to see if anyone else can confirm and possibly make the 1Password team aware if they aren't already: Autofill within the app version of the Chrome browser (when apps redirect to the "light" version of Chrome for logins) does not work. Either the 1password popup never shows above the keyboard or near the login fields, or they show up but do not paste the login info. The "full" version of Chrome works fine This is probably unrelated to the Pixel 10 itself, but setting up my Google account on the new phone broke the passkey within 1Password. I get the error "You’re trying to sign in on a device Google doesn’t recognize, and we don’t have enough information to verify that it’s you. For your protection, you can’t sign in here right now" when attempting to sign in on the web. I deleted the passkey in 1password and created a new one and all is working now. The Pixel 10 did set up a hardware passkey when the account was first added, but it was never used. The autofill thing is a bit weird, as I was previously on a Pixel 8, which was also on Android 16 and worked great. If there is a workaround please let me know, but I'm guessing this was caused Google breaking something!36Views1like0Comments1Password not using correct login fields
I Really like the 1 password product, but holy cow is it a pain sometimes with regards to using the correct login fields. It doesn't even use the correct field when in it's own web pages! I could not get into this community forum. I tried resetting my password which by the way there is no direct clearly defined button for. When asking for my email, (not my username which I think should be the case) 1Password would not fill in an email address, only a username, which even though I have been in the forums previously, and have a username associated with the page, it offered the incorrect usernames only. Seriously? Then it took almost 45 minutes for the email to be generated. Meanwhile I'm getting very irritated. This is why most of my family won't bother to use the product, even though I'm paying for it. Half of them use a piece of paper with P/w's written on them and the others are still using google thinking they are using 1pass...... AAAAARRRGGGHH. The other issue is that 1password probably gets the username wrong half the time, or it just will not recognize the fields being requested. I've tried updating the account information, the web pages, etc, to no avail. Am I the only one with these problems??34Views0likes4CommentsTrouble with Bank of America app
Greetings all, I'm having trouble with my Bank of America app, in that, 1Password won't auto load into it, except every once and a while. ( Every once and while, password will load, after a failed attempt to auto load the username.) And if I try to copy and paste from 1Password, I can copy either the username or the password, but after pasting one of those, when I go back to copy and paste the remaining one, the original one I've pasted is gone. What's frustrating is, that at least once in the past, both the username and password auto loaded as expected. I'm using an Android S23 FE. Thanks.24Views0likes3CommentsNew Feature "Expiry date" - Where is the alert?
I would like to know if I just don't understand it or if it doesn't work. I have added a date to an item and set an alarm for the day before. But no alarm appears on the day of the alarm?! I can only see that the item is expiring or about to expire when I navigate to the item itself or look in the watchtower. However, I understand "alert" to mean something else. My expectation is that there is either a notification from 1Password or I at least get some kind of indication on the main screen, e.g. a newly introduced category "expired" with a red 1 on it or something. Is there anything else planned, as I don't find it very helpful as it is now.Solved1.8KViews9likes29Commentsnew to 1password. My tablet seems to work differently...
Hi, I have 1pw on my computer and tablet, phone is next. But on the tablet it seems to work oddly and I'm wondering if I have a setting wrong or something. When I click in a log in box, instead of it offering me the password on the box or just auto-fills it in, it offers me the password at the top of the Keyboard (Samsung X210 tablet). It almost looks like it is putting it into the place where the google keyboard copies text. I don't think it should be that way, should it? I haven't had time to look through all the settings - thought it might be quicker/easier to ask here. I hope this works better than roboform with android. I had to delete roboform from everything because it only seemed to work well on Windows. So is there a setting that I need to change in order for 1pw to work on my tablet (and phone) the way it works on my computer - automatically filling in the correct form instead of offering a password to me at the top of my keyboard where I would usually see copied text? I have a feeling (?) that is not the way it should work because it may be insecure... Thanks for helping! Oh! I forgot - another issue on my tablet: 1pw seems to always require my long password to start up. On my computer I don't have fingerprint log in so I get it. But can't I set it to use my fingerprint like I do with other apps, on my phone and tablet?13Views0likes0CommentsQ re not filling passwords in private tabs
I am not sure if I want to use 1password in private tabs or not. The explanation that if I do, websites will be able to see my browsing history is something I am not sure about. Is this a Security issue or just a privacy issue? What is the real world danger of having 1password work in private tabs? I'm looking for examples of what bad things could happen. I prefer to use private tabs sometimes simply so my browser does not record them, but I use Brave which is very privacy oriented, and also I use Nord VPN so I am wondering if it is really important for me not to use 1password in private tabs on Brave...? I have brave set to clear cache and history on closing as well... So a) do I really need to use Private tabs, and b) do I really need to not use 1password when I do? Thanks for enlightening me on this. I'd like to use 1password on private tabs but do not want to be less secure.31Views0likes3CommentsIncorrect date format for UK users on Android
I'm on galaxy 24U. Latest release on play store. UK user. The date field and the associated alert field are formatted mm/dd/yyyy That doesn't follow the Android system date setting for my locality and forces a well known confusion upon all non-american users. You have recognised this as a problem from a user report in the forum and fixed it (June announcement) within the Mac desktop app. It appears to me that you need to think more widely across your ecosystem and when a problem like this is noticed check all your applications for the same problem, acknowledge that in the bug/request and fix it everywhere.27Views0likes2CommentsBiometric unlock not working: That didn't work. Check your password and try again
Hello!, I am experiencing an issue where my android app keeps failing to login with biometrics and when I login with master password it will also keep MFAing me. I enter it time and time again, but once I close the app or lock it, re-opening causes the same issue.| I will also note it is also refusing any of my MFA keys, only takes MFA via OTP. I am able to use my biometrics on 3 different applications, MFA keys via firefox. Issue: Biometric logins keep failing, and app keeps asking for MFA every time I enter master password. Error: "That didn't work. Please try again." Note: app does not allow attempting again, only allows master password. Troubleshooting: - Cleared all local storage and logged in again. Nofix. - Cleared all local storage, removed app, downloaded fresh, and logged back in. Nofix - Phone reboot. Nofix - In Settings>Security set: Confirm account: Every 30 days Lock mobile app on exit: Never Lock mobile app when device locks: Disabled - Locked device, entered master password, locked again, prompted for biometrics. Fails/nofix. - Set to password only (no biometrics). Works, no MFA prompt - Set to device unlock. Also fails? - Obtaining and sending diagnostics logs App info: App version 8.10.64 81064007 on Production Channel Device info: Motorola Razr 2024 Android 14 U3UCS34.63-88-12-3Solved549Views1like29Comments
