Hi! There's this new browser called "Zen browser" It's based on Firefox but the 1password extension doesn't work with the desktop app 1Password Version: Not Provided Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: Not Provided Browser: Not ProvidedSolved7.1KViews24likes100Comments1Password Access after Death, Legacy Contacts
I am not planning to die anytime soon, but sometimes things happen. Beyond securing my 1Password details in an Escrow account, or with a lawyer, or in a bank lockbox, does 1Password offer any means of allowing one or more designated member of the 1Password Families account to access the 1Password account in case of the primary owner's passing? Apple now offers the ability to add one or more Legacy Contacts so that in case of your untimely demise, an Access Key and a Death Certificate allows Apple to grant the holder of both of these to get a new Apple ID that has access to your Apple ID Account. It may be something 1Password wants to consider, though I realize that reviewing Death Certificates may not be on the high list of priorities for the team! 1Password Version: Not Provided Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: Not Provided Browser: Not Provided7.2KViews8likes110CommentsNew Feature "Expiry date" - Where is the alert?
I would like to know if I just don't understand it or if it doesn't work. I have added a date to an item and set an alarm for the day before. But no alarm appears on the day of the alarm?! I can only see that the item is expiring or about to expire when I navigate to the item itself or look in the watchtower. However, I understand "alert" to mean something else. My expectation is that there is either a notification from 1Password or I at least get some kind of indication on the main screen, e.g. a newly introduced category "expired" with a red 1 on it or something. Is there anything else planned, as I don't find it very helpful as it is now.Solved199Views4likes11CommentsBefore I submit this as a bug…. User name prefilled when creating a new login.
When I go to create a new login, the user name is prefilled with an email address I haven’t used in years. This shouldn’t have any email address, especially when I use Fastmail’s masked emails. I hope this is a bug and not a normal thing. 1Password Version: 8.10.56 Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: iPad 18.2 and iOS 18.2 Browser: Not ProvidedSolved423Views3likes28CommentsFeature Request – Default Item Name Should Be Blank
Hello, I'd like to request that the iOS and Mac 1Password apps behave differently when creating new items. The Item Name is automatically set to the Item Type (e.g., "Login"). This requires me to manually delete the pre-filled name before entering a custom one, which adds unnecessary steps. It would be more user-friendly if the Item Name field were left blank by default, allowing users to input their preferred name immediately. Thank you for considering this improvement.Solved59Views3likes4CommentsHow to trigger Masked Email Prompt
I love the idea behind the masked email feature. I have a Fastmail account and have it linked in integrations. The problem I'm having is that I'm almost never given a chance to create a masked email. I would say roughly 90% of the time if I click the email field on the web, there is no option to create a masked email with 1Password. By contrast Safari's built-in/iCloud masked email feature virtually always pops up on these fields. I thought maybe there was a limitation of the Safari extension, but I didn't have any better luck in Chrome or Firefox. Is there a way to manually generate a masked email? I can do it through Fastmail but then the email address is totally unlinked from 1Password. 1Password Version: 8.9.11 Extension Version: 2.4.1 OS Version: 13.1 (22C65) Browser:_ Safari, Firefox, Chrome510Views2likes8CommentsPre-populated login field issues
There already was a topic about the new (disturbing) feature of the login field being pre-populated. Many of us do not want the login field to be filled with an email address, because we want to use aliases or different email addresses for different logins. So now we have to clear the login field everything we want to create a new login item. Today I noticed that, upon creating a login from a website, when you replace the nonsensical prefilled login address with the one you want to use, the login is not saved at all! Instead the field is left empty. That is really troublesome. Instead of the process being simplified, it is in fact now more difficult. Once again, this feature is totally unwanted, but also very poorly implemented. I hope 1Password will quickly fix this and restore the app to it’s previously higher standard. At least make this feature optional, please, it is not working.57Views2likes2CommentsHow to change the Category assigned to a record
I like the way 1Password has expanded the Categories available. I also like that when setting up new records, one can choose and existing Category "template". To make using easier, I'd like to change the Category for an existing record from one Category to another without changing the data structure that exists. Is that possible please? 1Password Version: 8.8.0 Extension Version: 2.3.7 OS Version: Windows 10 Browser:_ Chrome3.3KViews2likes58CommentsNew feature "set expiry alert" - BUT WHERE IS IT?
I have read the new features list (January 21 2025, Mac 8.10.58) but cannot see where this "set expiry alert" option actually is? • You can now set up expiry alerts for items. In edit mode, select “+add more” > “Date”. After setting the expiry date, select “Set expiry alert” and choose an alert schedule from the dropdown menu. The new features llst above simply says select “Set expiry alert” – but from WHERE? It's not under the arrow to show in large type, and the Help drop menu fail to highlight its location? 1Password Version: Not Provided Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: Not Provided Browser: Not ProvidedSolved375Views1like22Comments
