. I have upgraded to 1Password 8 for Mac. Yesterday I had to re-set my iPhone settings and since then I cannot use Face ID to open 1Password. I have re-installed the 1Password app, checked to make sure 1Password is approved for using Face ID on my phone. Can you advise? 1Password Version: 1Password for Mac 8.8.0 Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: iOS 15.6 Browser:_ Safari Referrer: forum-search:face recognition not working45KViews0likes646CommentsMoving passwords from Ipad/Iphone to 1password?
I have been trying to set up 1password on my ipad 10.5 (and/or iPhone 13 pro). I have downloaded the app but can’t figure out how to export all of my existing passwords into it. I have been trying to follow the guidance here https://support.1password.com/import-safari/ however the menus it refers to don’t exist on ipad or iPhone, having tried multiple times and also spent quite a bit of time googling. Is there specific guidance for importing passwords from ipad/iPhone? I have been working at this all morning but seem to keep running into blocks. For info I made sure all my software was updated before I started and as I’m a new member of 1Password the app etc should be up to date. The other option of course is to do the websites on a one by one basis but as all of my current passwords are saved in apple keychain I can’t disable it so it’s very fiddly working between the two systems. I spent an hour doing this and only really managed to change half a dozen because it involved signing in and out again of the websites multiple times. Thanks for any guidance. 1Password Version: Not Provided Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: Mac OS1515KViews0likes3CommentsSafari Extension Started Asking For Password For Every Auto Fill [SOLVED]
. I've been using 1P8 for some time without any auto fill issues. All of a sudden today, the iOS Safari Extension started wanting me to manually enter my password for an auto fill anytime Safari was closed and re-opened. I've always had the "Authorize After" Safari Extension setting set to "1 Week". I tried disabling the Safari Extension, rebooting the phone and reenabling the Safari Extension. I then tried disabling auto fill on both 1P8 and iOS settings, rebooting the phone and then reenabling. Neither of which worked. I ended up having to completely uninstall and reinstall of 1P8, which was annoying, and that worked. Is there anything else that can be done if this happens again? Is this a known issue? 1Password Version: 8.9.3 Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: iOS 15.6.1 Browser:_ Safari13KViews0likes253CommentsSync not working between devices, all running 1Password 8
I just discovered that syncing is not working between my Mac, iPhone and iPad. The Mac is running 8.9.15. The iOS devices are running 8.9.7. When I log in to 1Password.com I see 494 items. On my Mac I see 488 items. I don't see a way to get a count on the iOS devices. Also, a new entry on my Mac has newer data than the same item on 1password.com and my iOS devices. On my Mac I've tried unlocking/locking. Also tried signing out and back in. This surprised me...I signed out and all my entries were still there. Did signing out only break the link to the cloud? On the next launch I was prompted for my 2FA, entered that, and the app came up. 1Password Version: Not Provided Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: Not Provided Browser:_ Not Provided8.6KViews2likes7Comments1P7 No Longer In App Store
I couldn’t help but notice that 1P7 is no longer in the iOS App Store now that 1P8 has been released. I expected this to happen eventually but nowhere near this soon. I’m holding off on updating due to some of the bug reports I’m seeing. However with the new iPhones being released next month, anyone who gets a new phone will now be forced to update to 1P8. Additionally, people won’t be able to downgrade if they’ve already deleted 1P7 from their device. Again, I knew this was coming but I don’t think pulling the trigger immediately after 1P8’s release is a great move.8.4KViews0likes16Commentsusing 1Password on iOS Firefox
It appears that one cannot integrate the 1Password app on iOS devices using Firefox. Is that correct? If not, how do you integrate the app into Firefox on the iPhone/iPad? 1Password Version: Not Provided Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: Not Provided Referrer: forum-search:using 1Password on iOS Firefox7.5KViews0likes4CommentsiPadOS 16.1 Watchtower crash [Fixed. Please see the approved answer for details.]
. I upgraded my iPad to iPadOS 16.1 today. After I did this, I checked Watchtower. The scores and categories appeared as usual, but when I taped to see details, 1Password crashed back to the iPad home screen. After the crash, 1Password would not restart - it crashed immediately when I attempted to bring up again. Resetting the iPad does not resolve this issue. I can only begin to use 1Password again on my iPad if I uninstall the app and download a fresh copy. I do not experience this on my iPhone, which is running iOS 16.1 too. 1Password Version: 8.9.6 Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: iPadOS 16.1 Browser:_ Not Provided7.4KViews0likes171CommentsTouchID stopped working since iOS16 [Fixed. Please see the approved answer for details.]
. Since I updated to iO16, TouchID is no longer recognized by apps. The TouchID dialog appears, but then terminates as if the finger is not recognized. 1Password then falls back to the login code. Other apps, such as one for signing PDFs, report "Authentication not successful". When I disable TouchID in 1Password Settings, the switch remains grayed out and cannot be enabled. I reinstalled 1Password, now it tries to use TouchID again and falls back to the LogIn code at the first finger touch. It seems that apps in general have problems accessing the security engine, otherwise TouchID works for all other areas like unlock, wallet cards, etc.. 1Password Version: 8.9.5 Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: iOS 16.0 (20A362) Browser:_ Not Provided6.9KViews0likes97Comments1Password 8: account password required every 2 weeks?
Please reconsider your decision to requires us to type our 1Password account password every 2 weeks on iOS/iPadOS. I'm fine with typing that password every 2 weeks on my Mac and/or my PC (both with a physical keyboard) to make sure I don't forget it. Typing my strong password with a touch keyboard is a major PITA! In fact, I'm afraid this will turn out to be contra-productive, similar to big IT organizations requiring a new password every 90 days, resulting in people using less strong passwords... 1Password Version: 8 (all future versions) OS Version: iOS/iPadOS6.6KViews0likes89Comments
